Comparison

Wars are about exterminating people in the short term. Large numbers of people, whole nations, can be whipped up into a frenzy and are encouraged to kill each other, by those who have the money and the power. They stir up hatred and fear among those who are desperate to move to a better place, and those who wish to protect their home, family, and possessions. The war mongers retreat and watch the sparks fly from a distance.

Getting people hooked on drugs, any drugs, will achieve the same results over the long term. Those who are confused and lost, are taken advantage of by those who have money. Drug addiction facilitates a long slow journey, often fraught with fear, to the end of a life. 

All lives matter.
